Thesis Title: Neurosciences and Philosophy of Mind: a Reductive Interpretation of the “Mirror System”
About
I am a High School Teacher of Philosophy and Social Sciences in a Liceo of Novara and now PhD Student in Cognitive Science at the University of Siena, Department of Philosophy and Social Science.
I am interested in mirror neurons discovery, its interpretations, outcomes and implications, and the idea of "embodied cognition", "motor intentionality" and "affordance" for a new reductive-naturalistic theory of mind, making use notably of J. Kim's supervenience reductive theory of mind and other recent theories (Damasio, Clark, etc.). If you want to talk with me on these topics, write to my personal address: simonettin@libero.it
